Loch Sport

Bright and early on Sunday morning Ainsley, Soph and I packed a whole heap of gear into the back of Ains's mum's car, set the ipod with some great tunes and headed of to Loch Sport, 3.5 hrs out of Melb. We set our tent up at the local caravan park, and headed towards 90 Mile beach. As the afternoon continued we explored the beach, ate some food and drank some coffee and went for a walk. As evening aproached we were offered a speed boat ride, and accepted without really thining it through. However we got to hang out with some pretty wicked american twins and saw some dolphins - so it turned out alright - even though we felt more like we were on an amusement ride than on a boat. The evening was spent eating some beautiful curry that Soph made, and playing cards, before gorging on some chocolate ripple cake and sipping some whisky and heading to bed .. around 8.30.

After an early wake up and lots of coffee and porriage we headed home - after a lovely stay.

These photos are in backwards order - so please start at the bottom :)

it's amazing what speed boating can do for your hair.

After this Emma shouted " Now get one of me liking her".. Issy for some reason did not agree to this..

Issy and Emma are twins - although it is clear Issy has the talent with faces.

- Sorry Soph, caught you at an awkward moment didn't I -

At the end of the drive way we meet Janis the un friendly landlady and a pretty horse names Doby.

So before we got to the beach we had to swerve around a million pot holes, fight the urge to turn back at the menacing signs and close our eyes to the gloomy swamp which lasted for 20 mins.
The old glove and band-aid trick.

A small stop for dancing on the highway.

Running away to the circus..

Working on any production is like living inside a dark bubble - where you see the same people everyday, have the same routine, eat allot of junk food and have a continuous flow of inside jokes.

I walked out into the sunshine today, away from the comforts of the bubble only wondering how soon can i go back.

I have just finished working on NICA's 3rd yr ensemble show ' Veritas' - my first experience in the industry which I one day hope to call my own. It was a very big learning experience on all different levels, where I not only learned practical skills but also what is expected from me and what you need to do to make your self not only known but, remembered in the right way. I worked hard, made loads of new friends some of who crossed over into the mentor category, and walked away with a huge smile and a truck load of determination to come back again with the perfect cable coil for Richard, the lighting designer.
